Delayed Start

On rare occasions Evanston receives an exceptionally heavy nighttime snow .  If the storm continues in the morning, hazardous road conditions interfere with school buses transporting students, parents driving their students to school, and employees being able to get to school on time.  If such condition exist, we will try a "Delayed Start" snow day rather than closing school for a full day.

All Elementary schools would start at 11:05 a.m., two hours later than normal. Listen to your radio or wait for the reverse 911 call.  Make sure that we have your correct phone numbers!
